Coming Out Mark

I didn't see this coming. But ladies and gentlewomen, welcome Mark into
our fold.

Somehow I felt there was something there all along...

"I am gay

and I'm very proud."

"I'm not asking for sympathy or to be a role model for anyone else,"

"I would like to say that I'm happy, and that I've found someone who is a real companion,"

"I'm not worried about how people react because I'm happy being who I am,"

out now
I have to admit that I've been jonesing for this Irish lad ever since I've seen his beautiful mug on the telly. Ok, that was a shameless confession, but I don't care.

Score one for our team. And in a dreamworld I'd say that since he came out, I now have a shot at him, but I hate to burst my own bubble and realize that he's already accounted for by

this lucky bastard...

Where he is right now when it seems that he's got much to lose, he took the plunge. The truth sets you free like Mimi. There, it didn't hurt saying that out loud not didn't it, Mark? Props to you, sister/brother.

Now I really do hope somebody in the local showbiz industry drop his act. No, having a child doesn't make you straight. Mahirap kasi kumita e no?

And You'd Wonder Why Its So Hard To Find The Lyrics To This...

Ever After - Bonnie Bailey

3 years ago our journey began
chasing down this cure, no plan in hand
just your pulse, my racing guide in the dark
just knowing with conviction from the start
the moment your eyes made an introduction
I felt my second violent breath of life
flawless to the point of being godly
yet I fell hard for your imperfections

CHORUS
And now we're slightly weathered, we're slightly worn
our hands grip together eye to eye through the storm yet
I still believe in ever after with you yeh
Cuz life is a pleasure with you by my side
and there ain't no current in this river we can't ride
I still believe in ever after with you

V.2
nothing compares to the good times
feels like we're floating when the rest have to climb
you made me believe in love and not the perfect kind
a real messy beautiful twisted sunshine
Emotions volcanic eruptions
we both still care so we're still alive
tunnel vision, determination
I want you I want to make it right

CHORUS
Bridge.... You are my twisted sunshine

We went to Tagaytay last weekend. 'Twas light-heartedly splendid. The food, the not-too-cool-not-too-hot crisp, clean air, the wonderful/crazy/beautiful company of Pao, Val, Xela (that's Alex in reverse, ang galeng galeng no?) and Ian. Half the fun was going there. The other half was getting on each others throats...kidding. Nevertheless, it was all fun and definitely worth remembering.

Wait, is this me, not posting any pictures? The eternal camwhore? I don't know why. Maybe the camwhore of babylon had just grown up

...but who's to stop me should the itch present itself once again? :)

Galera, Tarlac (c/o Alex), Baguio, (hopefully) Boracay next..

To my real messy beautiful twisted sunshine...

Magical Feeling

I'm currently digging that new song by Juris and Chin (aka MYMP). Ang kulit ng lyrics ni Juris (if that's the girl's name, I'm not sure) and how she sang it in the album. Ironically delicious! Not applicable to me in any way right now, but hey, it has that really edgy, catchy feel to it..(definitely a must hear)

I'm happy you left me
I'm glad that you hurt me
It's a magical feeling
Knowing that you're not meant for me

People say you're crazy
But baby don't you worry
Life has been easier without you
We should have done this earlier.

I've been humming it on my way to lunch at RCBC just a while ago. Kapitbahay na nga pala namin ang building-that-Yuchengco-built. Yup, we've moved to our new office. We're the first call center in the Metro to have a building constructed from the ground up. And I must say, its really a semi-magnificent building. Semi- being the operative word since I abhor the blue motiff (or just blue in particular). Dati kasi ang motiff ng (company that cannot be named) e Pink and Orange. It kicked ass. What office has that color combination? Kaya lang after Feng Shui chorva ng CEO namin, they told him blue brings him luck. Kaya ayun. Ang kinalabasan, mukang motiff ng SM (at may Banco De Oro pa sa baba!). Kung hindi lang maganda ang architectural structure e...Nevertheless, it boosts the morale points of the company.

Just going to and out of the office elates me. Weird, I know. But its true. Maybe, I'm just a sucker for ambiance. Its always about the little things in life that makes the whole picture...grand.

++++

11am, Lunch Break. A slight drizzle greeted me, but a welcome surprise made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Ian called me. He's dropping by to have lunch with little old me. Conscious attack. Biglang check ako kung ok ba itsura ko, if I have nose hairs peeking or god knows what kind of yet undiscovered embarassment possible. So far wala naman. I'm in my good shirt and my so called rhetorical* pants (used to describe any article of clothes of mine that show a little bit of something something, makes them go "whoa, thats deep"...if you know what I mean).

If not for that clueless waiter, it would have been a perfect lunch. Afterwhich, I wanted to have NY Fries for dessert. Odd choice, I know. Walang pakeelamanan. Sarap ng dip e.

On our way back to my office:

Ian: Ang lakas ng ulan.
Moi: Anong ulan? Hangin lang yan.
Ian: May bagyo o. Tignan mo nga nililpad na yung mga payong.
Moi: Hangin lang ya...
(gets drenched in a whole wall of water)
Moi: oo nga.

Since my lunchbreak was almost up, I had to rush it. I haven't told anyone this, but I love walking in the rain. No, not that sappy, histrionic MTV portrayal, but just plain walking in the rain. I've always thought that the rain is humbling because it can restrain you indoors. It can box you in. Walking in it, makes me feel...free.

And even if its against his common sense, Ian walked with me.

Devils Don't Sleep

Shampoo lang is kulang.

Everytime I hear that line being uttered by the pambansang pacute, Heart Evangelista, I just wanna grab a shotgun and blow her mouth off. Seriously.

Bakit nga ba yan ang opening line ko? Wala lang. Yan na lang, kesa naman yung kay Mother Ricky (which I actually like). Alam mo na yan.

I'm in a chika mood today so walang aangal.

HSBC just called me up the other day saying that my Credit Card had been approved and will be delivered the next day (I didn't even fill up any form!). Ang weird kasi for the past few weeks, halos lahat na ng bangko tumatawag sa bahay para pag applyin ako sa kung ano anong chorva. From Credit Cards, to Auto Loans, to (ahem) House Loans.

FLYING KICK!

(Several hours after writing, author was caught charging a hefty night out bill to his CC)

Ok, so achievement na sa akin yung na ZERO ko siya...for a time. Can't help it e. Dadating at dadating ang bagong gastos. And now, I have two. Hmm...time to buy that Nokia 6680 that I've been eyeing for weeks now.

Goodluck!

Speaking of gadgets, I'm going gaga over my (relatively)newfound baby. I've got a sleek, sexy, black thingamajig that would put other thingamajigs to shame.

World, meet PSPko. PSPko, world.

Courtesy of my ever-loving aunty from the land of Milk and Honey, I got it last July. (oo na, sabi ko na back logged ako ng mga entries e). And so far, it has been eating a huge chunk of my love and devotion.

Pano ba naman, its one hell of a music player (duh, Sony pa). Even my most worthless sounding MP3s sound fabulous with it. (insert infomercial sounding voice) BUT THATS NOT ALL... aside from music, its main function is a videogame machine. How cool is that? To techo geeks out there who could understand this mumbo jumbo: Its got nearly the same polygon crunching/pushing power of the PS2, Built-in stereo speakers, and a 4.3 inch 16:9 widescreen LCD to boot! In english, panalo siya! hehe.

It also has a 802.11b Wi-Fi Integrated Communications that transforms it to an uber chic web browser. Yep, web browser. Imagine, sitting down for a cup of coffee at Seattle's then riding on their free WiFi. Geek nirvana.

Oh and have I mentioned that it can play MOVIES, emulator games, and can store pictures? I haven't? Ok, it can play MOVIES, emulator games, and can store pictures! iPod what? Move over, Sony's gonna eat your babies!

(personal pictures/camwhoring ebidensya will fill these pages in the following days)

Surprisingly, I still got my social life in check. Fabulous lovers, Val and Paolo are my constant rendezvous-mates extraordinaire. The network of people we've met over the past dozen weeks are staggering. I've almost thought of myself as the reclusive hermit who only gets to see the world once every new moon.

But hooboy, the subplots we've had are (if I may coin) telenovel-ic.

I'm a bit worried about our Baguio trip this Saturday, though. I mean, its been raining a whole lot the past few days and I don't wanna climb up the Summer capital and get drenched. I'd rather do that here. But then, we already have a contigency plan. They have a friend up north who's willing to "share" his palatial home to us for the weekends. Bahay bahayan ang drama naming apat. I must suggest that we throw a house party.

Btw, Ian, just got promoted. Congratulations, Bobby. Tuloy tuloy lang para malapit na rin akong maging first lady. hehe.

Hate Us, Don't Hang Us

ran Hangs Gays: Warning DISTURBING PICTURES
by GregNYC
Thu Jul 21st, 2005 at 15:07:09 PDT
This is one of the reason fundamentalist religious fanatics and government don't mix.

A friend e-mailed it to me - and some of you may have heard about it on Andy Sullivan's website, but I had to diary it here. I'm not a fan of Andrew Sullivan's, but he gets the credit for exposing this atrocity.

This rates as one of the top ten most disturbing images I've ever seen. A mix of anger, rage and sadness is all I feel.

So fucking sad...

I will not post the pictures here. Its just so...fucked up.

Its just so hard to believe that this level of bigotry still exists in the world. A state controlled network had been on a damage control, proliferating the news that the two boys were guilty of molesting a 13 year old boy. I would like to take that statement with a grain of salt. If this "crime" was indeed true, why would a public execution be the "answer"? This is barbarism in the highest levels. No wonder their country is stuck in a quagmire. We're not better off than them, but at least in this country, a level of tolerance is cherished.

Guilty or not, its not the issue.
If this was a heterosexual rape, their filthy noses wouldn't even cringe a bit.
I can only offer my prayers for the two boys.
May their souls rest in peace.
This may be too much

Shout Out Blonde

ue to blogging inactivity, somebody asked me on the tagboard if I'm off galivanting again in god-knows-which-island. As much as I am dying to go do that, nope. Its too...rainy nowadays, that the travel bug in me had been left a bit too damp. However, I'm having a blast. Too much happening. Too little time left to blog. Nevertheless, out of the necessity to write something down, I have one of those blonde jokes. Knock yourself silly.

Three women are about to be executed.

One's a brunette, one's a redhead, and one's a blonde.

Two guards brings the brunette forward, and the executioner asks if she has any last requests.

She says no, and the executioner shouts, "Ready . . . Aim . . ."

Suddenly the brunette yells, "earthquake!!"

Everyone is startled and looks around. She manages to escape.

The angry guards then bring the redhead forward, and the executioner asks if she has any last requests.

She says no, and the executioner shouts, "Ready . . . Aim . . ."

The redhead then screams, "tornado!!"

Yet again, everyone is startled and looks around. She too escapes execution.

By this point, the blonde had figured out what the others did.

The guards bring her forward, and the executioner asks if she has any last requests.

She also says no, and the executioner shouts, "Ready . . . Aim . . ."

The blonde shouts, "fire!!"
